Lead Development Operations Engineer

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional software development experience and 3 years as AWS DevOps Engineer or similar skillset with experience on various CI/CD and configuration management tools: GitHub Actions, AWS (CodePipeline/CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitLab or similar tool(s)
• Expert in Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as, Terraform, CloudFormation or Cloud Development Kits (ideally, AWS CDKs) and/or scripting language such as Python.
• AWS Step Functions, AWS API Gateway
• AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild, RDS, Lambda
• AWS CDK, Terraform CDK (CDKTF)
• JavaScript or TypeScript knowledge & experience
• Ability to support database servers like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL

It would be great if you have:

• 7 Years of Relevant Experience
• AWS Cloud Certification, Kubernetes Certification
• Datadog (or similar) experience is a bonus.

What will you be doing in this role? 

• Interact with the lead software development organization, gathering build requirements, providing status updates, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
• Oversee the build & maintenance of source control systems & software environments.
• Monitor/measure efficacy of the automation infrastructure.
• Create capabilities and utilities to support the development organization.
• Propose, develop, review, and revise new procedures for high-quality system development.
• Execute on multiple projects, balancing numerous needs, yet still delivering on time.
• Oversees applications and systems of a complex nature.
• Maintain consistent documentation for all assigned tasks & ensure the team is sufficiently trained.
• Keep informed of, propose, and evaluate new hardware/software for company use.
• Evangelize DevOps practices and automation internally and externally.
