As a Software Quality Engineer within our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of enterprise-level software solutions that support healthcare and clinical research innovation. Working in a fast-paced Agile environment, you will help drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle with a strong focus on test automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test strategies for enterprise software applications in an Agile development environment

• Review product requirements and functional specifications to define test scope, identify risks, and support sprint planning activities

• Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA team members, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot defects and resolve issues identified during testing

• Develop and maintain repeatable QA test plans based on functional requirements, user workflows, system design documentation, and domain knowledge

• Investigate test failures across multiple environments, including reviewing application logs, server logs, and database queries to support root cause analysis

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise software testing or software quality engineering

• Experience with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks

• Hands-on experience testing software applications on mobile platforms

• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and collaborative engineering practices

• Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot defects, and work effectively across cross-functional technical teams

• Familiarity with SQL queries and debugging within application and database environments

• Experience supporting software quality initiatives in cloud-based or DevOps environments, including exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS), is an advantage

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Ability to work remotely from Costa Rica with authorization to work in the country
