DevOps Engineer (Ingeniero de DevOps) - Mexico City (Hybrid)
What you'll do
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Clara’s Infrastructure Team. In this role, you will be a key architect and operator of our cloud ecosystem, ensuring that our banking and financial systems are scalable, secure, and highly efficient. You will collaborate closely with developers and data scientists to provision infrastructure in AWS, specifically focusing on big data solutions and stable data analysis environments.
Your mission is to balance rapid deployment with the rigorous security standards required for a leading fintech. You will:

Implement DevOps, SysOps, and DevSecOps standard practices, prioritizing security across all layers.

Deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Bash, Python, and CDK.

Design and manage containerized services and microservices using Docker, AWS ECS, and AWS EKS.

Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines via Github to automate deployments from repository creation to production.

Resolve production issues and perform performance tuning for large-scale distributed systems.

Create visibility dashboards and monitoring alerts using Dynatrace and Opensearch to ensure we meet business SLAs.

Partner with data engineering teams to design cloud-native architectures that support complex financial operations.
Who you are

Must haves
-
Working proficiency in English and Spanish.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically RDS, Aurora, AWS MSK, CloudWatch, Eventbridge, and Lambda.

Strong background in Linux administration and network configuration.

Proven experience with automation tools like Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and Terraform.

Experience supporting microservices in a multi-tenant, cloud-native environment.

Familiarity with observability and logging frameworks (e.g., Elasticsearch, Vector, Fluent, Logstash, or Dynatrace).

A systematic problem-solving approach and a high degree of Ownership.

Adaptability to fast-changing environments and excellent verbal/written communication.
Nice to haves

Experience or interest in AI tools to automate internal workflows.

Experience with Redhat OpenShift.

Independent analytical skills using SQL or Python.
