VP-Asset Servicing Product Developer – Investor Services

The Custody Asset Servicing Product team focuses on developing products for the Custody business lines. Citi provides settlement, custody and asset servicing solutions to investor & intermediary clients through its Global Custodian and its global network of sub custodians (domestic custodians).

The Custody Asset Servicing Product team are seeking a strong Product Manager / Developer who can work within the global asset servicing team ensuring it meets its goals of supporting the Global Custody EMEA business focusing on the development of Asset Servicing capabilities and Application transformation. 

Working closely with business, legal, risk and operational partners’ for Custody in identifying and implementing product requirements and enhancements needed for the successful implementation of the strategic platform.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the Custody Asset Servicing team to ensure it meets its goals as agreed with the EMEA Global Custody business.

• Focus on implementation BaNCS project and complete market migrations globally in line with business requirements and strategic direction

• Understand, communicate and implement global product strategies with primary focus on product extensions.

• Help define new product scope in line with the new strategic architecture.

• Work closely with operations and technology to create detailed Business Requirements Documentation defining core product functionality based on client demand, market/regulatory requirement or long-term strategic objectives.

• Ensure products developed and implemented in line with business requirements.

• Understand and use Swift ISO standards and data structure to improve client experience

• Use AI capabilities to define requirements, complete testing and during migration activities to enhance and improve the process.

• Ensure all product developments / extensions are documented in the Product Catalogue and that these are reviewed annually.

• Agree product development priorities as part of the annual plan with Custody business owners.

• Work with other internal partners (risk, legal, compliance etc) to ensure all new product developments meet internal business approval requirements.

• Support relationship and sales teams acting as product expert when discussing new opportunities with clients.

• Support the implementation of "pilot" clients where required, ensuring documented processes and procedures are in place

• Keep abreast of market trends and client needs working closely with clients and coverage organisations.

• Review and influence/lobby local markets to follow industry standards re transparency and key data elements. Ensure Citi platforms are able to support and complement said enhancements

• Participate in relevant industry governing bodies

• Participate in the EMEA Deal review process as applicable representing the EMEA Global Custody business.

​Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience

• Strong securities background with specific focus on asset servicing

• Proven client facing experience beneficial

• Background in operational processes, technology platforms and front office activities

• Ability to analyse different processes and identify inherent risks

• Good inter-personal and communications skills

• Both a strong team player plus self starter

• Creative and resourceful problem solving

• Proven project management and implementation skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Master’s degree preferred

•Working Environment: office setting, minimal travelling and working hours in the office may be required during projects.
• Effort: minimal physical effort required. High levels of prolonged and intense concentration may be required in front of computer.
