Through our five business lines – Liquidity Management Services, Payments, Trade & Working Capital Solutions, Investor Services and Issuer Services - we provide cash management, payments/receivables solutions, working capital solutions, post-trade securities services, and issuer services across Citi’s global network.

Cross Border Payments is a key growth driver for Citi’s Payments business and a critical component of Citi’s differentiated network versus competitors. The business goal is to accelerate our revenue growth in a sustainable manner over the next several years across our corporate, commercial, public sector and FI clients, which requires executing growth and transformation priorities at scale successfully.

 

We are looking for an exceptional team player to lead Citi’s account based cross-border payments product agenda across the two Asia clusters – Asia South and JANA. This an exciting role to drive the fast-evolving cross border payments business and create meaningful impact in terms of delivering a superior product proposition, increasing product penetration and overall market share. This role is based in Singapore.

 

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in payments ecosystems, FX, strong leadership qualities, penchant for creativity and conceptualizing innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred partner status with Citi’s clients.

• Supervise day-to-day product management including product delivery, client experience and client communication strategies as well as help the broader teams prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results and drive consistency of the offering.

• Drive the product commercialization across the client segments, clusters, and partner with global product to ensure we continue to improve and strengthen our capabilities, defend existing flows and attract new clients/flows.

• Collaborate with Markets partners to grow transactional FX flows by focusing on conceptualizing and executing targeted initiatives and bundled solutions by client segment and country.

• Partner and collaborate with variety of stakeholders across the organization including sales, coverage, FX, operations, technology, and other functional partners to strengthen the product delivery, streamline processes, drive operational excellence and maintain a strong risk and control environment.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Build credible and trusting relationships with network partners internally and promote business ties with external industry stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

 

• 15+ years’ experience of relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of payments, cash management, SWIFT, FX, ecommerce, and emerging payment flows.
• Knowledge of product management disciplines
• Strong execution bias and experience leading cross-functional team to define and achieve high value business goals
• Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results
• Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen, and investment processes
• Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

 

Education:

 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree is Good to Have
