The Business Sr. Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an intergral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.

Responsibilities:

  • This senior leader will own the product profit and loss (P&L) and will lead the team responsible for creating, growing and delivering the P&L, customer product offerings and product pricing. In addition, this role and his/her team will own and drive all digital capability acceleration efforts/projects to provide new, best-in-class digital features and capabilities.
  • Additional responsibilities include:
  • Identify forward-compatible top talent inside and outside of the organization. Ongoing leadership of the team and creation of an innovative, play-to-win culture
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to re-design our mobile experience, drive new customer acquisition efforts, deepen existing customer relationships through the refinement and creation of compelling product offerings
  • Accountable for business economics, outcomes and roll out of digital acceleration efforts including the development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business impact and P&L management and tracking against targets
  • Establish governance of all initiatives including continuous communication with partner business organizations, as well as compliance and legal departments, to ensure all products are within guidelines and standards and appropriately mitigate risk
  • Recommend and influence digital product strategy at senior management levels in the organization
  • Analyze product trends on a national level to target new customers, outside the traditional Citi footprint, and identify potential sales opportunities in order to stay ahead of Citi’s competitors and produce new growth streams
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 15+ years experience
  • Accomplished change leader, can execute flawlessly in ambiguous and changing environments and demonstrates both a flexible and resilient approach
  • Must possess vision and passion for the transformation of the consumer banking business, with high energy
  • Managerial experience
  • Significant relevant experience driving strategy and execution of digital products, client segments, channel distribution, and customer experience in the retail banking/financial services space
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and organizations – pushes self and colleagues to higher levels of performance by actively listening and engaging in constructive dialogue.
  • Treats people with respect and assumes the intentions of others are based on common purpose and shared goals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive large scale, complex business initiatives –taking initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with process-oriented execution, with a high attention to detail and quality on both internal team work and external products delivered to the market

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred


This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

As part of the Analytics & Decision Management team within the Citi’s Technology and Business Enablement COO function, the Technology Resource Assessment Program Director is responsible for managing the Technology Resource Assessment Program Office tasked with monitoring and reporting the firms Technology Resources supporting the Consent Order obligations. Technology Resources includes staffing, application adequacy, and funding in support of the Consent Order.  

The Technology Resource Assessment Program Director will require a broad and comprehensive understanding of Citi and Citi’s Operations and Technology organizations. The Program Director is required to have program / project management and operational experience to develop and execute Technology Resource Assessment plans, including the communication of requirements, collection and challenge data, and report Technology Resource requirements. Partnering with Technology colleagues and Human Resources, the Program Director has accountability to coordinate Technology’s execution of the Enterprise Workforce Management Article X workstreams.

Structured collaboration, analytical and communication skills are required to effectively partner with key stakeholders and report to senior leadership. Supporting transparency to senior Citi stakeholders and regulators, this role is responsible for providing effective Program Management and reporting of Operations and Technology Article X initiatives and facilitating the identification of interdependencies and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Through collaboration, lead the develop project plans to support the Technology Resource Assessment book of work.
  • Report in accordance with the end-to-end plan (milestones, deliverables, timing, and resourcing) in support of the Consent Order execution.
  • Execute processes for the reporting and tracking of the resourcing requirements and applications supporting Technology Transformation and Consent Order obligations.
  • Coordinate the execution and oversight of Technologies execution of the Workforce Management Article X workstreams.
  • Actively participate in the review and challenge sessions with the Business, Programs, Workforce Management and Finance.
  • Identify potential dependencies and resource constraints (in support of Consent Order execution against BAU or other programs).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase remediation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establish relationships with all in-scope Operations and Technology organizations.
  • Lead and empower a team of Project Managers to execute the plans supporting the end-to-end analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all Citi Program Management Council (CPMC) and Transformation Program Office (TPO) requirements.
  • Maintain an ongoing Risk Assessment process to ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Oversee a team of employees and be responsible for goal setting, performance measurement and performance management.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree preferred.

  • 15 years of Program Management in Financial Services or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in leading transformation programs, key strategic programs, and ability to drive change.
  • Strong risk and control mindset.
  • Track record of exceptional performance.
