Technology Lead Business Analyst - C13 - MISSISSAUGA

• The Technology Lead Business Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to requirements gathering, elicitation, design solution and work closely with both technology and Business stakeholders within Controls framework.

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders
• Manage multiple work stream and applications across geographies for building Risk and Finance Controls
• Showcase ability to perform data analysis whenever required and perform user acceptance testing
• Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
• Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers
• Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
• Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools
• Proven diplomatic and analytical skills
• In-depth knowledge on capital markets domain with clear understanding on trade flow, products. Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
• Proficient in SQL for data analysis. Past experience on Finance and Risk controls is an added advantage.
• Expertise on reconciliation platform tools, Shell scripting, ETL tools would be an advantage

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master's degree preferred

• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and documentation
• Evaluating business processes, document requirements, perform data analysis.
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
• Performing requirements analysis.
• Documenting and communicating the results in form of user stories or BRD
• Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
• Effectively communicating requirements and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
• Define solutions meet business needs and requirements, at the same time ensuring technical compatibility.
• Performing user acceptance testing.
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Directly impact the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and formulation of procedures/process improvement
• Resolve complex trade flow problems (client, system, breaks) where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of procedures and industry standards
• Make a significant contribution to change-the-bank projects and offers solutions at an advanced level
• Identify control deficiencies and implements appropriate procedures and solutions to mitigate any risk or control losses
• Apply in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues, such as (but not limited to) affirmation, confirmation and reconciliation
• Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization
• Create, develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, management, internal (front office) /external clients and stakeholders (Finance, control, technology, etc.), and seeks to understand their needs and provides solutions
• Persuade and influence others through collaborative communication skills;
• Acknowledge Citi’s principles and values of organizational culture and apply them in everyday work activities
