Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls.  We manage and partner on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations.  The team comprises chief financial officers who partner with each of our businesses and disciplines including controllers, financial planning and analysis, strategy, investor relations, tax and treasury.

The Fin Solutions Sr. Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
 

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Contribute to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
  • Participate in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
  • Assist in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
  • Play a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
  • Participate in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
  • Manage a small team, or function as a single incumbent with management responsibilities for a function.
  • Integrate expertise and industry expertise within a defined area.
  • Advise on standards around which others will operate.
  • Coordinate and contributesto the ideas of the entire function.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned
  • Have the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Act as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Have the ability to manage teams. 
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 6-10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
  • Recognized technical authority for an area within the business.
  • Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred.
  • CPA preferred

Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree

  • Role involves facilitating Automation of the Local Regulatory Reports in Strategic  Reporting Platform as part of Finance Automation strategy for identified APAC countries. Execute the implementation of reports as per the Book of work schedule.
  • Leading, tracking and driving the progress of the requirements work stream of the program.
  • Monitoring effort and deliverables to ensure the work stream delivers according to milestones. 
  • Organizing and leading regular discussions with the relevant business, finance, technology and operational groups as required by the work stream of the program
  • Engage with SME’s to translate country specific local regulatory report requirements into key data element requirements through map-gap exercise with strategic sources, raise data demand for gaps, interact with  Data Services teams , LRR Finance controllers transformation team for standard council approvals;
  • Deliver Mapping (Rules) Design, Documentation, Writing, and Review in accordance with change management framework;
  • Complete UAT and Parallel Testing through Test Scripts in partnership with other work streams in the Centralized Team. Engage with country program manager / SME to identify tactical solution for data quality / design issues ; lay a path for strategic solution.
  • Ensure compliance to Change management framework with respect to GO Live requirements and meet the audit governance standards.
  • Working closely with LRR Country program implementation manager & assist in the creation of presentations to the program Steering Committees and other governance committees for reporting project progress and escalating issues.

Echo Jobs has been exceptional in my job hunt where it provides one platform to job hunt and I don't have to open 10 websites just to look for a job. The only feature that I would request is to display fully remote jobs that are not restricted to a country since the one available shows ie, Remote, US yet.
