Citi is seeking an experienced Product Development professional, focusing transformation initiatives within the risk vertical of product development organization.

Who are we?

The Product Development team sits at the intersection of sales, trading, structuring, capital markets, origination, and technology with responsibility for implementing process improvements, analysing business requirements, translating user needs into functional specifications, and realizing senior management's vision.

Responsibilities also include defining the system scope and leading process changes from requirements through implementation. Our team oversees a wide array of front office systems including trade capture, pricing and risk, inventory management, settlement, and database management, as well as business intelligence and reporting.

We work along with our technology partners, business heads and cross functional departments within Citi to help Spread Products business be the best in Markets and among the industry peers.

What will be your primary area of focus?

You will help us map out the changes required to help us deliver the transformation programs related to Risk infrastructure within GSP on-time, at cost and providing great value to the business by building the right things in first place. You will work closely with others focused on initiatives across front office, risk & control, finance, operations, and technology to help execute strategic goals.

A few areas that our team are currently working on are highlighted below:

Coordinate / Prioritize changes to our real-time risk, pricing infrastructure. FRTB deliverables Price Risk program triggered by Consent Order deliverables LIBOR Transformation Building and rolling out Risk Aggregation platform for the Spread Products business Moving our pricing infrastructure from Legacy libraries to strategic (Xing)

Other job-related duties may be assigned as required. You will have opportunity(ies) to collaborate with other product development colleagues as and when required depending on business priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership within the Product Development team and represent Spread Products in cross-functional working groups.
  • Partner with teams across other business lines, the credit risk organization, finance, operations, transformation, and technology
  • Assess technology offerings, find synergies and best in class features that can be applied consistently across various lines of business, promoting consistency and enhanced data quality
  • Help define the proposed target state architecture ensuring that it aligns to business needs, and resolves problems identified in existing disparate processes
  • Provide meaningful feedback on input received from other working group stakeholders, developing a consensus on key business requirements
  • Ensure all requirements are clearly documented, approved and developed per specification
  • Work with in-business partners to ensure successful adoption and implementation are achieved
  • Present management with proposed strategies and updates

   

Who are we looking for?

  • Candidate is required to have a BA/BS
  • 10+ years’ experience in project management, technology, or business consulting, with leadership or management roles (Risk domain is preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of fixed income, credit, and rates related markets and products
  • Experience in the risk domain within Markets. You should be able to understand the key aspects of various markets risk factors that are relevant for financial products to be able to critically evaluate the business ask, technology solutions
  • Experience leading large-scale cross functional transformation programs
  • Demonstrated ability in managing and delivering complex projects under tight deadlines with changing priorities with multiple functional groups (front office, technology, product control, risk & control, etc)
  • Articulate presenter with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and inquisitive with an interest in financial markets.
  • Proven track record as change agent, with ability to encourage and embrace innovative ideas and solutions
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with an innate ability to form strong partnerships across multiple groups including trading, business management, product control, MQA and technology
  • Competent in being able to analyse data – lots and lots of it or varying types. As most of the role involves reviewing data and candidate who are good in using tools like Python, SQL, business intelligence tools are preferred
