Engineering Lead Analyst - C13 - CHENNAI

The Database Security Senior Engineer is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, development, and deployment of software solutions in coordination with the other Technology teams. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to build, deploy and maintain security platforms to ensure security and compliance standards are being met within database organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

•          Design, develop, and deploy audit and security solutions for database log reconciliation and reporting analytics

•          Integrate auditing with review and alerting systems for new database platforms

•          Provide documentation and expertise in the supported security products for all database platforms

•          Ensure that all security products meet or exceed Citi internal and regulatory requirements

•          Design, develop, test, customize and troubleshoot Database security systems and solutions to ensure protection of IT assets, business functions and requirements

•          Familiarization with information security concepts and products

•          Experienced working with large scale production environments

•          Comfortable and able to take ownership of issues and be a senior escalation point for platform and data issues

•          Work with all disciplines and product owners to integrate database security solutions with existing Citi and future Citi computing environments

•          Follow the Technology Development Life Cycle in the development of all security tools

•          Continuous process improvement

•          Focus on providing customer solutions rather than just product certification

Core Skills Required:

Extensive experience in several of the following areas:

•          Database audit products including IBM Guardium and Imperva Sonar

•          Traditional database products such as Oracle, SQL, Sybase and DB2 LUW

•          NoSQL products, especially MongoDB and Couchbase

•          Experience with UEBAs and security behavior analytics

•          Data visualization tools like Tableau and Kibana

•          Database security concepts and best practices

•          Database administration or development

•          Linux operating system, especially Red Hat

•          OpenShift or other containerization frameworks

•          Automation tools such as Ansible and Chef

•          Agile methodologies such as scrum and kanban using JIRA

•          Product certification including security assessment and solution documentation

Education:

•          Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
