The position is within TTS-Channels, and we are seeking a DevOps Analyst with strong hands-on experience in the areas of Code repository Management, Build Management, Deployment Management and implementing overall CI/CD. This role will be responsible for modernizing and optimizing technology platforms and develop engineering solutions to increase system reliability, availability, and reduce technical debt. Candidate will be working on fast-paced, highly visible, challenging projects and engaging with multiple Development teams. Candidate is expected to be hands-on in DevOps technologies and provide support coverage across time zone as needed.
The candidate should contribute to the foundational changes that increase performance, reliability and robustness of systems, Standardize the release process, reduce the MTTR, adhering to principles of Agile without compromising quality or security while thinking like a DevOps Engineer. The Applications DevOps Engineer/Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.

Responsibilities:

• You are a Member of an DevOps organization with focus to standardize, Improve the DevOps Process. enhance lower environment and application ecosystem stability, reduce operation support cost, and Improve overall Developer experience
• You will Implement DevOps automation and perform a role to manage clusters in agreed container platform tools
• You will Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our control environment through automation and adoption of best practices.
• You will Lead implementation and adoption of secure coding practices via automated CI/CD pipelines.
• You will Improve CI/CD tools integration/operations, and enable full automation of CI/testing
• You will Develop, scale, and control strategies, standards, guidelines, governance of Continuous Integration systems
• You will Implement Agile and scrum process and be responsible for developing objectives, strategies, Scope, automation procedures and automation frameworks.
• You will Collaborate with internal development and QA teams to help ensure end-to-end quality and Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline

Must Have

To be a successful DevOps Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate a solid technical experience with ability learn and adopt to new technologies. You are expected to have exceptional communication skills, be knowledgeable about the latest industry trends, and highly innovative. You should be able to be adaptive and implement tools and process rapidly with minimal issues.

• Version Control system: Experience in any two of the tools- Git/GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab
• Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery/Deployment like: Jenkins, TeamCity/Bamboo, SonarQube, Artifactory/Nexus, Git CI/CD, ArgoCD, SonarQube, jFrog, MAVEN, Gradle, ANT, NANT etc.
• Strong experience in Containerization Technologies: Experience in Docker, K8’s Helm
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Groovy and Tekton with Harness.io good to have
• Implementation experience with microservices and distributed applications, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
• Experience in Container Orchestration and Management platforms like Openshift
• Experience in one or more of the ALM tools like JIRA and good knowledge of Agile ways of working
• Strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative skills; Data driven and results oriented
• Experienced in scripting languages such as Groovy, Powershell, Bash and Shell script Experience using Docker and Kubernetes to realize large-scale software distribution Skilled in concepts such as REST/SOAP api and application interface programming.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in DevOps Role
• Extensive experience in SCM, Build, Deployment Management, and Implementing CI/CD
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects working on a 24*7 operation team
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Intermediate level experience in Applications Development or Support role
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

To be successful as a DevOps Enginneer, if you are code savy and able to have significant analytical skills it really helps the “journey” smooth & fast.  Below skills are a “good to have” and will be a added advantage

• Experience in Java / Angular Technologies with Business Analytical skills, visualization capability
•  Strong experience in scripting language (Shell scripting, Python, Perl, etc., ) and cloud driven development and ability to automate manual tasks

• Knowledgeable on DSL specifications such as yml, json and xml Strong knowledge on application build tools such as Maven, Gradle and MSBuild
• Cloud Technologies: Good to have in any CSP like AWS, Azure, GCP
• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Work closely with the application Development team to understand the platform and create tools/utilities to help improve the DevOps process
• Working with upstream data providers and upstream consumers, and reducing the amount of escalation to development teams
• Develop scripts and assist with code changes along with operational tasks/activities.
• Identify risks, responsive, and works with a sense of urgency plus works within a team or independently

• Be able to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
• Be able to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Good understanding on Platform build tools such as Ansible/Terraform Maintaining and enhancing the automated continuous integration and continuous delivery environment using TeamCity, Jenkins and SonarQube.
•  Work closely with Dev team to analyze, review and clarify design and architecture on Tools implementation, Build and Deploy automation Document as-is state of environment, gap analysis, come up with options, recommendations POC of Tools, Techniques as desired

• Evaluating and adopting new tools to improve build and release processes Ability to perform Root cause analysis and document – Incident and Problem management Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Taking ownership and managing production requests, questions, issues and perform Root Cause Analysis for outages/incidents
• Be flexible to provide weekend and on call support
