CCB QA Automation Engineer

Team/Function Overview:

The Citi Commercial Bank testing function is responsible for major client onboarding testing initiatives, including but not limited to Account opening and servicing, Periodic Reviews and Lending. The team has presence in Belfast, Shanghai, India, Mississauga and Irving. The team is undergoing an agile transformation, so experience of agile principles and ways of working would be beneficial.

Role Overview

The Testing Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

• Tests and analyzes a broad range of systems and applications to ensure they meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to develop test plans, test cases and automation scripts.
• Executes test scripts according to application requirements documentation.
• Manual and Automation testing and thorough knowledge around Agile testing methodologies.
• To take complete ownership of the given application and proactively Identifies risks and recommends appropriate course of action; performs root cause analysis.
• Documents, evaluates and researches test results for future replication.
• Ability to drive automation strategy towards in sprint automation or sprint minus one state
• Proactively Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements to enhance testing strategies.
• Analyzes requirements and design aspects of projects. Interfaces with stakeholder, BA leads and development teams.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years Quality Assurance experienced professional who has worked in functional and predominantly in test automation.
• Experience of working in Agile environment where you should have ability to work under pressure during tight deadlines
• Strong experience in Test Automation using Selenium or Python including framework maintenance, Framework Optimization, Automation Strategizing, Automation Planning and Automation Test Execution.
• Good experience in IDE like intellij or Eclipse
• Strong expertise in testing tools - Selenium, BDD, Cucumber with strong understanding of OOPS concepts
• Strong experience in Test Automation testing frameworks like TestNg, Junit
• Strong hands on experience with languages like Java or Python (pytest).
• Exposure to version control tool like GIT/SVN and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Experience in webservice Automation using Rest Assured/Postman or any other open-source tool.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
