Applications Development Sr Programmer Analyst - C12 - PUNE

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for accomplishing results through hands on oracle experience in coordination with the technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive the database analysis, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining oracle database to ensure they meet industry standard and user requirement. This is a great position for individuals passionate about hands on oracle development and hands on investment banking domain knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Senior developer to work on new requirements. 
• Review SQL scripts and suggest improvements and eliminate blockers.
• Analyze existing database and propose solutions to improve overall design, architecture, and efficiency.
• Be a hands-on developer who develops solutions to complex business problems using database scripts and related technologies.
• You will be required to work on complex and variable issues with significant potential impact, weighing various alternatives and stabilizing potentially conflicting needs.
• Collaborate with Sr. Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, Production Support, Partners, Business Users and External Clients to provide best in class technical solutions.
• Mentor/coach junior team members. Ensure that best practices and standards are followed as part of the application development life cycle.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as an Oracle Senior Developer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle (Oracle 19).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in working with DBA related tasks such as oracle performance turning/optimization, Partitioning and AHS and AWR report analysis.
• Should have experience with all aspects of the SDLC and working in an Agile environment.
• A self-starter who is a quick learner of new platforms, tools, and technologies.
• Team player in direct/matrix reporting organizations.
• Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, take ownership, and drive strategy.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
• Well acquainted with industry best practices and standards. 
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Working knowledge on build tools, code quality analysis and Bitbucket source code repository.

Desirable:

• Experience in Linux environment.
• Deep knowledge in Oracle 19c features Experience with shell scripting, MQ, NDM, SFTP
• Ability to work with distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a Computer Science or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
