Job Description

Meet the Team:

Develops software consistent with Cisco ‘Design Thinking Principles’ with a focus on simplification and UX (User Experience) at its core, using secure coding practices, ensuring user privacy, and following software development best practices. Partners with other teams including design and product management to create the right solution for the customers. Creates technical design documentation to be used by the team as well as contributing to user documentation to be used by end users. Debugs and addresses software issues during development and in production systems to support customers. Brings new ideas for product innovation and helps improve software development processes.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Leader to architect E2E solution testing strategies, multi-tiered test topologies, and quality release gates for Cisco IQ solutions. You will bridge software engineering, network domain expertise, and automated testing frameworks to ensure platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge in testing and testing methodologies
• Define solution-level test architectures, cross-product validation topologies, and customer workflow qualification frameworks.
• Architect hybrid automation frameworks combining React UI, REST/GraphQL APIs, and background data pipeline validation
• Spearhead the adoption of AI [agentic automation, dynamic scenario generation] to auto-generate scenarios and establish intelligent no-code test harnesses.
• Reproduce complex customer network topologies, perform deep RCA, and resolve cross-system functional and networking bottlenecks.
• Lead cross-functional defect governance, lab infrastructure setup, and technical release sign-offs.

Required Qualifications (Mandatory)

• Coding: Expert hands-on proficiency in Python or Java for framework development, API validation, and backend testing tools.
• Automation: Expert architectural mastery of UI automation (Selenium/Playwright) and API testing frameworks (REST Assured/PyTest).
• AI Knowledge: Hands-on experience with AI [agentic workflows, no-code testing strategies, script optimization] to optimize automation code.
• Networking Knowledge: Strong domain expertise in core networking protocols (L2/L3, TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF) and enterprise network controllers; CCNA/CCNP preferred.
• System & Infrastructure: 10+ years in software quality, deep knowledge of Linux/Unix, AWS services, Kubernetes, Splunk, and Wireshark.
