Job Description

Meet the team

You will join a dynamic team of reliability engineers dedicated to maintaining the scalability, resiliency, and performance of our production environments. We are a collaborative group that values independent problem-solving, mentorship, and the cultivation of strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Our team is committed to leveraging best practices to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in our products and services.

Impact

In this role, you will be the guardian of our production uptime, ensuring that our services meet internal Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and customer-facing Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will directly reduce operational expenses by automating repetitive tasks, identifying failure points, and developing analytical tools to proactively detect issues. By writing robust code for automated releases, conducting disaster recovery drills, and performing deep-dive root cause analyses, you will play a critical role in minimizing system downtime and hardening our security posture.

You will serve as an SRE subject matter expert, guiding colleagues and contributing to the design of next-generation tools and frameworks that ensure our infrastructure remains reliable, secure, and scalable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experienced professional using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.

  • Works independently, but receives guidance and direction from leader then determines best approach to accomplish work.

  • Develops relationship with peer stakeholders within and across teams and builds productive working relationships.

  • Writes code to deliver product features, enabling fast, automated, and reliable releases.

  • Applies experience to support broader service and product outcomes (e.g., automated roll backs, no downtime during releases).

  • Codes in either multiple languages or responsible for multiple areas of infrastructure and builds automated solutions.

  • Codes to improve service reliability and adapt to regions.

  • Tests high availability and disaster recovery measures for our services and makes recommendations to minimize single points of failure.

  • Monitors platforms and resources to gauge scalability.

  • Contributes to the design and implementation of new tools, frameworks, platforms, and automation toolsets, and makes improvements while tackling operational challenges.

  • Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues across infrastructure and platform services, serves as on-call SRE, participates in post-mortems, and writes root cause analysis.

  • Troubleshoots security controls and contributes to changes and updates to address security issues. • Begins to consider design inputs.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience, or PhD + 0 years of related experience.

• Requires working knowledge and expanded conceptual knowledge in primary technical job family and broadens capabilities; has worked with and is proficient with current technologies.
