Software Engineer

CircleCI is seeking a Software Engineer to collaborate across its various engineering teams to support them building software with security built-in right from the beginning. You'll work with different teams and services, partaking in crafting new features as well as making recommendations on how existing services can be improved.

You’ll collaborate daily with dedicated colleagues across the world. This is a full-time, fully remote role that requires you to participate in our on-call support rotation as well as incident management.

What You’ll Do

• Consult with engineering teams across the company to ensure that security is a core concern and not an afterthought
• Liaise with the technical leaders in the design phase of engineering initiatives to bring in your expertise and security focus
• Be a point of contact for security related questions
• Take technical leadership in detecting and mitigating malicious activity on the platform such as crypto mining

What You’ll Bring

• You are interested in learning new languages and technologies. Our team uses Clojure and Go in a native cloud environment. More details on CircleCI's full tech stack can be found here
• Curious how teams at CircleCI can get better at writing secure code and envisioning secure architectures
• Extensive experience in writing code (in Go or in Clojure) as well as with DevOps best practices and cloud architecture
• Work transparently and collaboratively within a remote and globally distributed team that values over communication
• A desire to learn!
