Job Description

The Position:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with proven hands-on experience in testing desktop application and web applications using Selenium. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in test automation and a deep understanding of testing practices. While automation skills are essential, the core expertise must be in Automation. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring the stability and quality of our Automation using selenium and AccelQ, while also driving automation practices across the testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for desktop and web applications using Selenium and AccelQ.
  • Coordinate with multiple team for web/desktop testing and environment setup.
  • Good experience on database, building new scripts or reusing existing queries.
  • Execute Integration Testing across diverse platforms.
  • Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure, Jenkins, GitLab CI) to ensure seamless deployment and integrate into data base.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration and system testing
  • Analyse business and technical requirements to define test strategy
  • Product understanding and creating test automation scripts for In-sprint & regression testing using selenium, AccelQ
  • Creating and executing test scripts in test management tool and reporting bugs
  • Determine priority for test cases and create effective execution plans with maximum coverage
  • Participate in PI & Sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies
  • Track & report automation progress as per PI plan
  • Develop skills in new automation tools to improve the automation penetration
  • Contribute towards implementation of new ideas & solutions
  • Adheres to the organization's Quality Engineering best practices and help to drive changes to achieve more efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into pipelines
  • Identify & Support Automation and DevOps opportunities; looking at efficiencies in ‘In Sprint’ Automation as well as Regression as we develop our CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least five or more years’ experience in a system quality environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 6 - 8 Yrs. experience in Software QA & automation Testing and knowledge in programming languages (JAVAand SQL.)
  • Proven expertise in web app automation and cross-platform testing.
  • Experience in CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Broad knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle with specific expertise of Software Testing
  • Excellent defect management and test documentation skills
  • Proven experience with desktop automation frameworks and tools
  • Knowledge of the Health Insurance Industry
  • Proven experience of working within an Agile environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working independently, leading a team or as part of a team
  • Demonstrate accuracy and possess a keen eye for detail
  • Strong interest in personal development

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expert in web application, desktop application sand integration testing.
  • Familiarity with test management tool like JIRA, Zephyr.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles in testing environments.
  • Knowledge of relational databases using SQL queries, file handling.
  • Selenium/UFT/AccelQ skills.
