We are seeking an experienced DevOps Strategist to drive the evolution and maturity of DevOps practices within our organization and client environments. This role focuses on strategic planning, cultural transformation, and establishing a future-oriented DevOps vision. You will work with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to assess current states, define target architectures, and implement comprehensive roadmaps that elevate organizational maturity.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
# Strategic Planning & Vision: Define and communicate long-term DevOps strategies aligned with business objectives, establishing clear roadmaps for platform evolution, tooling adoption, and operational excellence.
# Culture Transformation: Lead DevOps cultural initiatives across client organizations, fostering collaboration, breaking down silos, and embedding practices that drive continuous improvement and innovation.
# Maturity Assessment & Elevation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of current DevOps maturity levels, identify gaps, and implement structured programs that measurably advance capabilities in automation, observability, and delivery practices.
# Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance on infrastructure patterns, cloud-native technologies, and platform strategies, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with industry best practices.
# Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with C-level executives and technical leaders to translate business requirements into technical strategies, demonstrating clear value propositions and ROI for DevOps investments.
# Knowledge Transfer & Enablement: Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and documentation that build internal capabilities and promote self-sufficiency within client teams.
# Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Establish KPIs and metrics frameworks to measure DevOps effectiveness (DORA metrics, SLOs, etc.), driving data-informed decisions and demonstrating tangible business impact.
# Innovation & Best Practices: Stay ahead of emerging trends in DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering, evangelizing modern practices such as GitOps, FinOps, policy-as-code, and platform engineering principles.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record implementing DevOps culture in enterprise environments with measurable maturity improvements;
- Experience conducting maturity assessments using recognized frameworks (DORA, CALMS, DevOps Maturity Models);
- Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization strategies;
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate technical vision into business value and actionable roadmaps;
- Proven experience in change management and organizational transformation initiatives;
- Experience leading or mentoring DevOps teams and developing talent pipelines.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- In-depth knowledge of Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), including ground-up implementation, architecture design, and operational management;
- Background in consulting or client-facing strategic advisory roles;
- Publications, speaking engagements, or community contributions in the DevOps space;
- Fluent English communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence at executive levels.
