Software Engineer Intern, KYC (Summer 2025)

Chime is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our Know Your Customer- Enrollment & Funding team. You will gain valuable professional experience working with cutting edge cloud technology platforms and distributed systems alongside engineers with a wealth of experience to share. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime.

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement based at our Chicago office. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $34 and up to $49. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. 

In this role, you can expect to…

• Learn about how the KYC team helps mitigate Risk for both Chime and its Members
• Work with cutting edge technologies for identity verification
• Collaborate closely with our Product, Risk, and Fin-crime partners to build new features
• Work out of our beautiful Chicago office

• Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field
• Have strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Are a creative thinker and self starter with a passion for consumer FinTech
• Are flexible and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects
• Are a highly empathetic and collaborative person
