Senior Oracle Cloud Engineer

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Engineer to join our Enterprise Finance Technology team. The ideal candidate will have deep techno-functional experience with Oracle cloud ERP building best-in-class, high-volume integrations. This role will be responsible for designing solutions that connect Oracle ERP Cloud and multiple 3rd party application systems to ensure a timely and reliable flow of data among our most critical applications. This role will help develop and execute the technical architectural vision connecting  Chewy’s Oracle Cloud ERP platform with other enterprise cloud applications and assist with technology enabled business transformation, best practices, reporting, process and performance improvement. The person will work with product owners, business and technical teams and provide domain understanding of how Oracle ERP can be extended and how it can integrate with other applications. This role will have good knowledge of Oracle ERP applications in one or more areas (Financials, Supply Chain, Procurement) from a techno-functional perspective to support integration development and identify dependencies and dataflow. The candidate must be able to work as an individual contributor or as a team lead with minimal supervision in a fast paced, rapid growth environment in a high-performance Agile SCRUM team. The candidate is expected to grow beyond Oracle cloud ERP and come up to speed on other applications, 3^rd party tools and integration technologies.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop integrations to Oracle ERP cloud and/or other applications to defined business requirement.
• Design new Oracle cloud technical solutions to support new business growth/verticals and integrate with various best of breed, homegrown, legacy and enterprise applications using various middleware technologies including AWS technology stack.
• Work directly with product owners and business stakeholders to estimate and plan new initiatives, gather technical requirements, perform map/gap, design, build, test and cutover Oracle cloud and other business application integrations/solutions into PROD and provide support.
• Own technical design specification deliverables from planning to execution to support.
• Incorporate Oracle cloud business applications best practices into overall cloud platform vision with technical architecture/solution configurations.
• Act as technical systems stakeholder, provide guidance for evaluation of cloud business applications and integration products to extend/build upon Oracle cloud ERP solution.
• Collaborate with other technical/functional consultants and architects to ensure alignment between Oracle ERP and overall Chewy system landscape/vision
• Drive business transformation and process improvement while providing IT system solutions for Oracle ERP and other cloud applications such as Coupa as an internal consultant.
• Take complete ownership of systems including production support, service requests, quarterly upgrades, bug fixes, performance improvements, reporting tools while delivering enhancements/new features via sprints as an individual contributor
• Expand into other business applications beyond Oracle ERP as the business and IT landscape evolves.
• Work with stakeholders across Chewy including finance, accounting, supply chain and procurement teams and integrate business process and technical integrations across Oracle Cloud and other business applications to support end-to-end processes such as record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash…etc.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering.
• Experience as lead engineer with 10+ years supporting Oracle ERP Technical areas.
• At least 3 years of experience in Oracle Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge about Oracle Cloud ERP schema and writing SQL queries, Data Modeling and Data Engineering and Data Migration.
• Expertise in creating BI Publisher & OTBI reports and using the rtf templates.
• Expertise in building integrations using Oracle middleware platforms such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA CS etc.
• Deep understanding of REST and SOAP APIs made available in Oracle Cloud ERP. Building ETL based integrations through these APIs.
• Techno-functional knowledge in as many ERP modules across Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Accounting to Reporting. Knowledge across one or more Oracle modules including Product Information Management (PIM), Inventory (INV), Procurement (PO), Account Payables (AP) and General Ledger (GL).
• Openness to learn, explore, and work using different technologies such as AWS services, Kafka, Docker/containers etc.
• Experience with full software development life cycle (SDLC) – requirements, map/gap, design, build, development, testing, training, cut-over and post go-live support.
• Experience working in iterative, agile/scrum methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to director level business stakeholders and managing delivery expectations as an individual contributor. 
• Ability to evaluate, estimate and create a detailed project plan for technical projects.
• Experience with Cloud Production Support, Quarterly Updates, FBDI uploads, Data Migrations, Writing technical specifications for integrations and White Papers. 
• Prior advisory/management consulting experience with Oracle ERP Applications is preferred.
• Ability to work both as an individual contributor and as a team lead.
• Experience building microservices using the AWS technology stack (Lambda Functions, SQS, SNS, AWS Fargate, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3).
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible etc.
• Experience with Splunk dashboards/alerts…etc.

Bonus:

• Oracle Cloud certifications; technical or functional.
• Hands-on experience writing code using Python using multiple python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Sci-Kit Learn and boto3.
• Prior experience in retail or high transactional volume ecommerce industries.
