Our Opportunity:

Chewy is growing! We are looking for a Manager, Business Intelligence III to join our Healthcare Analytics Team. In this role, you will own end-to-end analytics for our CarePlus and Content businesses (PetMD and BeChewy). These are high growth businesses which leverage clickstream and customer behavior data to inform strategic roadmaps, feature enhancements, and new programs.

As the Analytics leader for these businesses, you will be responsible for delivering scalable data infrastructure, developing self-serve analytics tools, and using intuitive data visualizations to unlock insights. You will partner directly with business General Managers, Product leaders, IT Software and Data Engineers, and Business Analysts to anticipate the data infrastructure and tooling needs of the organization and proactively build solutions that tackle problems.

As part of a team that is constantly launching new businesses and features, you will be responsible for using technical solutions to transform raw data from various sources into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate is proficient in building analytics tools and leading deep-dives on clickstream and customer engagement data in a digital context. This candidate has exemplary data visualization and technical problem-solving skills and a penchant for detail. Further, this individual is highly proficient in collaborating across technology and business teams and has demonstrable experience delivering high quality results with minimal direction from leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as this role will interface directly with multi-functional teams to roll out new tools, communicate data infrastructure changes, and share analytical findings with executive leaders. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you!

 What You'll Do:

  • Develop analytics frameworks and own analyses that quantify the impact of digital assets on key customer and financial indicators
  • Design experiments and partner with Product, Tech, and business leaders to generate results, insights, and actions from product launches and feature changes
  • Construct and deliver analytics product roadmaps that deliver insightful and user-friendly dashboards for both internal and external customers
  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals.
  • Proactively assess the data needs of Healthcare and related functions and partner with technical teams to deliver proof of concepts, QA data sources, and deliver new data tables, metrics, and analytics products
  • Lead efforts to automate data integration, extraction, and distribution of reports to multiple partners
  • Own and continually improve metrics documentation and data governance
  • Partner with IT teams to construct downstream impact analysis and own organisational change communication for Healthcare data sources
  • Document technical details of your work using Jira, Confluence, Git, etc.
  • Proactively monitor existing metrics, propose new metrics, and work across the organization to deliver actionable intelligence

 What You'll Need:

  • Demonstrable experience analyzing and delivering insights from clickstream data from sources such as Segment, Google Analytics, Adobe or comparable platform
  • Solid understanding and experience leading experiment design, A/B testing, and other frameworks for evaluating effectiveness of feature and product changes
  • Demonstrable experience developing self-serve BI solutions and automated reports, including tools that enable defect alerting and data quality monitoring
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years automating data processes, developing dashboards, and building scalable analytics solutions in an ecommerce, omni-channel, or retail setting (Tableau strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience running ETL or data transformation processes, technical architecture documents, and delivering net new or enhancing existing data warehouses
  • 5+ years of experience working with data platforms such as: Snowflake, AWS, Vertica, or other RDB
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and demonstrable ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries
  • Programming expertise in Python, Java, Scala, or another modern programming language
  • Demonstrable experience with data modeling in large, cloud-based Data warehousing / data lake environments (Snowflake strongly preferred)
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience leading organisational change processes
  • Demonstrable experience delivering high quality and insightful data visualizations and translating complex data into actionable insights
  • Exemplary partner management and prioritization skills using systems, processes, and scalable frameworks
  • Thorough understanding of Financial indicators and P&L statement
  • Superior attention to detail and experience building processes to validate data integrity
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams and delivering results in ambiguous and resource constrained environments
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Bonus:

  • Project Management Certification
  • Experience collaborating with Data Science teams to deliver machine learning models from scratch

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We prioritize job seekers as our customers, unlike bigger job sites, by charging a small fee to provide them with curated access to the best companies and up-to-date jobs. This focus allows us to deliver a more personalized and effective job search experience.
  • Salaries for the engineering jobs on our site range from $100K-$200K. On average, senior engineer positions on our EchoJobs are about $160K.
  • The EchoJobs positions have been sourced and vetted from the top companies to work for in the US as a software engineer, including LinkedIn and other reputable job sites. We also have syndicated jobs from companies that have just raised funding, as well as those that have great unique products and culture. From all of these sources, our founder, Morgan, has also resourced the company's authenticity in terms of their website, public appearance, and more.
  • Yes, our users asked us for just this, so now our search filters allow you to search for your top jobs via location, as well as by onsite, remote, or both. Approximately 30% of our jobs are remote, so you’ve got the best options for you!
  • We have not yet implemented this option, but are considering doing so in the future. For the moment, you would need to cancel your subscription, and resubscribe when you wanted to come back.
  • We add new jobs to EchoJobs every day! We scan our sources for the newest jobs, verify them, and post them to EchoJobs within minutes. We add about 2,000-3,000 new jobs for you each day!
  • From starting your job search to getting hired, the entire job search process can take us software engineers anywhere between 3-6 months. However, at EchoJobs, we’re striving to shorten this duration by finding the best, newest jobs for you, so you can do less job searching, and more applying.
  • We’d recommend checking EchoJobs daily, as we add new jobs to the site each day. Additionally, if you got a chance to read our previous email on “what makes EchoJobs different from any other job search tools,” we also recommended that you set a job alert based on your job filters, so if you get emails on those new jobs, you could be checking more than once per day.
  • If you decide to continue with us after the 1-month trial, we definitely recommend this, as we all know it usually takes 3-6 months to find a quality job as a software engineer these days. So to best support you, we just adjusted our membership options at EchoJobs to monthly, 3 months, or 12 months (this option is more for passive job seekers looking a little bit for the future if they want to come back to work or make a job switch potentially. This lets you see what’s out there in case an even better fit job becomes available.)
  • EchoJobs is truly the only job site of its kind. We want to be THE spot for you to find the best job for you, and haven’t encountered any other company doing this. Other job sites are in niches besides software engineering or focus on a small portion of engineering jobs (like a specific coding language). In the words of Morgan, our founder, “I think what makes EchoJobs different is the amount of jobs, frequency that we add new jobs (we add 2,000-3,000 new jobs daily!), and the powerful search engines to find exactly the job you want more easily and efficiently. We can provide you with the most jobs that are vetted by us, we’ll continually find more new jobs for you, and we make it easier for you to apply and get hired.
