What you'll do:
- Develop and implement models and algorithms to solve complex fraud patterns using operations research, statistics, and machine learning technologies
- Deep dive large payment & fraud data to explain change, develop insights, and provide recommendations
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate broad business objectives into data-driven solutions within an ambiguous problems space.
- Validate the accuracy of proposed methods through rigorous testing and validation.
- Collaborate with domain experts to gather requirements, identify key challenges, design experiments, and propose data-driven solutions.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team to make informed decisions
What you'll need:
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program with an anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
- Extensive experience coding in Python and/or R (our primary languages) and proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services tools such as Vertica, Snowflake, SageMaker or other similar platforms.
- Experience with data visualization tools and packages (Tableau or similar).
- Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematics and statistics.
- Passion for Machine Learning and Data Science & Analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex data and analysis into simple business recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain details of complex concepts to non-expert stakeholders in a simple and understandable way.
