Senior Time Synchronization Engineer

Role Overview:

CHAOS is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Senior Time Synchronization Engineer to join our team supporting our R&D and product engineering initially focusing on our next-generation sensors and effects. This is a highly collaborative role which will allow you to work on multiple capabilities within our product offerings. As a member of our engineering team, you also have the opportunity to expand your skillset across our product families.   

Responsibilities: 

• Research & Development (R&D) and Production support for time synchronization technologies across our next-generation sensors and C2 products
• Work full-time on-site in our office in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree
• 10+ years of processional experience in advanced time synchronization technologies
• Solid understanding and applied experience in Linux and networking
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams
• U.S. Person status is required as this position will require the ability to access U.S.-only data systems 

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with advanced wired and wireless time sync technologies beyond NTP
• Experience with COTS time synchronization hardware
• Experience with custom time synchronization solutions, algorithms, and optimizations
• Experience with RF and/or Optical wireless technologies
• Experience with FGPA firmware development
• Experience with Software Defined Radios
• Experience with fiber networking and transceivers
• Experience with DoD & related System/SW Architectures and messaging standards (e.g. OMS, SOSA, Link-16, etc) 
• Experience with full lifecycle engineering development of high-TRL systems
• Experience with HW/SW I&T and V&V of high-TRL systems
• Experience with Agile processes
• Experience with git
• Experience with SW languages such as Python, C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, Go, etc. 
• Current or previous DoD security clearance
