Overview:

The Solution Architect in Telecom is responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end telecom solutions that meet customer needs, business goals, and technical requirements. The architect works closely with stakeholders to define system architecture, oversee project execution, and ensure the scalability, performance, and security of telecom infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of telecom technologies, industry standards, and a strategic mindset to deliver effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design & Architecture:

• Lead the design and development of telecom solutions, ensuring they meet both technical and business requirements.
• Define system architecture, including network, hardware, software, and integration points.
• Develop high-level architectural diagrams and documentation for solution proposals.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance across telecom networks and systems.

1. Customer Engagement:

• Engage with customers to understand their business needs, technical challenges, and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with the sales team to prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals for potential customers.
• Provide expert guidance during client meetings to ensure the proposed solution aligns with customer expectations.

1. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Work closely with engineering, product management, project management, and operations teams to define and implement solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams during project execution and delivery.
• Ensure smooth integration of new solutions with existing telecom infrastructures.

1. Technology Strategy and Innovation:

• Stay up to date with the latest telecom trends, technologies, and innovations.
• Recommend new technologies, tools, and practices that can improve the efficiency and performance of telecom solutions.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies, such as 5G, NFV (Network Functions Virtualization), SDN (Software Defined Networking), cloud technologies, and automation tools.

1. Risk Management & Quality Assurance:

• Identify potential risks related to solution design and implementation, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that all solutions adhere to industry best practices, standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the testing and validation of solutions to ensure they meet quality and performance criteria.

1. Solution Implementation & Support:

• Assist in the deployment and rollout of telecom solutions, ensuring technical and operational success.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during the implementation phase.
• Contribute to the documentation of solutions and ensure proper handover to the operations team for long-term support.

1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

• Prepare cost estimates and budgeting for the proposed solutions, ensuring they align with customer budgets and financial goals.
• Analyze cost-benefit trade-offs and provide recommendations for optimizing solution investments.
