Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing projects through the entire project life cycle including developing new project scope, schedules, manpower and cost estimates, and managing the projects so that all cost and schedule objectives are met. Incumbent is capable of negotiating contracts, self-directed, and has strong financial/cost estimation, analytical and communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages projects through the entire life cycle to ensure the scope is completed on time and within budget.
- Develops full scale project plans, progress reports, earned value reports and other necessary communication documents.
- Uses internal project controls software designed to ensure compliance with the necessary accounting standards, and provide near real-time monitoring of project performance.
- Coordinates resources from both inside and outside the organization.
- Performs periodic project reviews, adjust staffing and materials needs, and monitor and communicate project performance to the Program Manager, higher levels of senior management and outside agencies.
- As necessary, implements corrective actions to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Develops negotiation strategies that permit successful negotiation of project contracts.
- Conducts lessons learned sessions to determine causes of failed proposal bids and assist in implementing corrective actions to increase the likelihood of winning future bids.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:
- BS Degree in Business, Engineering or related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Experience
- 5 years people management or project management experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

This position will require a preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a DOE security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required."
