Project Management Intern - 2027 (Piketon, OH)

Job Summary:

As a Project Management Intern at Centrus Energy, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting projects at our American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) in Piketon, Ohio. Working alongside experienced Senior Project Managers and cross-functional teams, you’ll see how complex projects are planned, coordinated, tracked, and delivered. You’ll gain practical experience in project execution, issue management, stakeholder coordination, and technology-focused initiatives while building skills that can launch a career in project management, business operations, or technical program leadership.

What You’ll Do:

Step into the world of project delivery and help teams stay organized, on track, and aligned. As a Project Management Intern, you’ll support ACPx projects under the guidance of experienced Senior Project Managers, helping track issues, action items, schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple projects. You’ll collaborate with engineering, operations, and technology teams and may support software development initiatives involving Palantir and on-site project teams. Along the way, you’ll gain firsthand experience in how cross-functional teams plan, coordinate, and execute complex projects.

We’d Love to Hear From People With:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate program in business, project management, engineering, operations management, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Interest in project management, technology, process improvement, or operational excellence
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• U.S. citizenship

 

A Successful Candidate Brings: 

• Classroom, internship, or group project experience involving planning, coordination, or team collaboration
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project or basic project tracking tools
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Completion of at least two years of college-level coursework in a business, technical, or related program 

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $23-$25/hr. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test and vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively. Such access is required for the performance of this position.
