PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Executes purchase orders, including any necessary change orders, to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

2.     Engages appropriate parties to resolve requisition and purchase order related issues

3.     Ensures the timely closeout of open purchase orders

4.     Drives business user satisfaction through timely and accurate resolution of exceptions

5.     Responds to business end user and vendor inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations

6.     Tracks the status of requisitions and purchase orders, while maintaining accurate records and documentation

7.     Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with transaction management policies and standard procedures

8.     Facilitates alignment between Category Management and Sourcing, and the Center of Excellence teams to ensure strategies are incorporated into tactical buying instructions

9.     Supports Category Managers with RFx administration as needed to support the larger team

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a procurement team with experience in a procure-to-pay platform like Ariba or Coupa. Must read, write and speak English fluently.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite tools and other software as required
• Strong skills using MS Excel and MS Outlook
• Experience working in common procurement systems like Ariba or Coupa
• Critical thinking skills to determine best path of resolution for exceptions
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and manage multiple projects with ease
• Comfortable with managing tactical buying and supporting simple RFx activities
