Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer 


Celona, founded in 2019, is an early stage innovator on a mission to bring reliable and intelligent private LTE/5G wireless networks to Enterprises. Our solution combines the power of 5G radio technology, edge computing, and machine learning to deploy a zero-touch private wireless network that seamlessly integrates with an existing enterprise network over the high-speed CBRS spectrum. 


Celona is seeking a Senior QA Engineer who will ensure that Celona’s enterprise 5G LAN solutions meets both internal and our customers quality expectations. 


Candidates must possess initiative, adaptability, problem solving skills, and deep understanding of QA processes. Candidates with networking and wireless experience would be a huge plus! 


This role is required to be in our Campbell, CA headquarters a minimum of 2 days per week.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop test plans based on product requirements, specifications, and customer use cases 
  • Execute feature, system, scale and performance tests on Celona products 
  • Provide clearly documented bug reports that gives a detailed characterization of the conditions the bug is triggered, the behavior that results and the ultimate impact on the end users/customers 
  • Setup complex test environments that consist of multiple OS platforms, hypervisors, routers, firewalls, 4G/5G RAN, Core to replicate customer scenarios 
  • Engage on triaging customer issues and continuously look for opportunities to enhance test coverage 

Qualifications 

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical or related field or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in QA methodologies on enterprise, carrier wireless technologies 
  • Product testing experience in either: 
  • Data network protocols/technologies (routers, firewalls, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, WiFi, etc) 
  • 3GPP technologies (LTE, 5G Packet Core, RAN, MOCN, etc) 
  • Experience with NFV (Network Function Virtualization), Kubernetes, containers, hypervisors (KVM, ESXi, etc) 
  • Experience with commercial (Keysight, Spirent, Viavi, Amarisoft, etc) and open source performance and scale test tools 
  • Programming/Scripting experience with Python is highly desired 
  • Experience working in fast paced startup environment 
  • Ability to self-direct, work within constraints and be a strong team player 

Compensation for this role is between $135,000 - $145,000 depending on job-related skills and experience.  At Celona full-time employees are eligible to receive stock options and company sponsored benefits.
