Description

About us:

Founded in 2018, Causaly accelerates how humans acquire knowledge and develop insights in Biomedicine. We enable researchers and decision-makers to discover evidence from millions of academic publications, clinical trials, regulatory documents, patents and other data sources… in minutes.

Using our AI technology, we are developing the world’s biggest knowledge platform in Biomedicine powered by a high-precision Knowledge Graph.

We work with some of the world's largest biopharma companies and institutions on use cases spanning Drug Discovery, Safety and Competitive Intelligence. You can read more about how we accelerate knowledge acquisition and improve decision making in our blog posts here: Blog - Causaly

With c.$100m raised to date, we are backed by top VCs including ICONIQ, Index Ventures, Pentech and Marathon.

About the role:

The Private Data Fabric is a highly strategic company-level priority that will drive Causaly’s growth by creating a differentiated proposition – one that combines proprietary customer data with publicly available knowledge to uncover unique insights.

As the Product Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution of this new offering. To make this happen, you will work at the intersection of product, engineering, commercial functions (Sales, Customer Success & Product Marketing), and critically – our customers.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers (AI, Data and Application engineering), and product design to jointly develop the solution, and collaborate closely with our frontline teams interfacing with our most strategic customer partners to understand use cases and business requirements. To be successful in this role, you will have a mix of technology fluency, business savviness and a deep passion for understanding and solving customer problems.

This is a senior IC role in our Product organization, with considerable scope for growth.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Private Data, in line with our overall mission and goals
  • Set priorities for your team across multiple streams. Define and prioritize product requirements, working closely with engineering teams to estimate and plan development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, R&D, and customer success to deliver at pace and quality.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our users' needs and behaviours, using data and research to inform product decisions. Stay on top of market trends and competitor analyses to ensure we are leading the category.
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders, including executives, customers, and the broader organization.
  • Collaborate closely with CEO, Product & GTM leadership to define key customer and commercial milestones and drive teams to deliver on our targets.
  • Work on all dimensions of the product, liaising with the relevant stakeholders where necessary – value proposition, go to market strategy, market and competitive environment, legal and security requirements etc.

What we’re looking for:

  • You have a proven track record of successfully developing and launching Enterprise B2B SaaS products (bonus points if it’s within the Life Sciences business domain).
  • You have previously worked on AI / data products, and enjoy collaborating closely with engineers on the solution space.
  • You enjoy working in highly complex and ambiguous problem spaces – solving both technical problems and product questions, balancing business, technical and user requirements.
  • You are a strong logical thinker. You are data oriented and can use metrics to motivate the teams as well as measure progress.
  • You have strong product process, from product and customer discovery to driving effective product execution working closely with high-velocity engineering teams.
  • You are a strong communicator who is as comfortable evangelizing your product as you are writing copy for a product release. You can effectively communicate to a wide range of stakeholders, across seniority and functions, internally and externally.

What we’d love to see:

  • Domain & industry knowledge in life sciences is not required, but must enjoy complex problems and have a learning mindset.
  • Experience taking products from 0 to 1.
  • Passion for coaching and developing other members of the product team.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We prioritize job seekers as our customers, unlike bigger job sites, by charging a small fee to provide them with curated access to the best companies and up-to-date jobs. This focus allows us to deliver a more personalized and effective job search experience.
  • Salaries for the engineering jobs on our site range from $100K-$200K. On average, senior engineer positions on our EchoJobs are about $160K.
  • The EchoJobs positions have been sourced and vetted from the top companies to work for in the US as a software engineer, including LinkedIn and other reputable job sites. We also have syndicated jobs from companies that have just raised funding, as well as those that have great unique products and culture. From all of these sources, our founder, Morgan, has also resourced the company's authenticity in terms of their website, public appearance, and more.
  • Yes, our users asked us for just this, so now our search filters allow you to search for your top jobs via location, as well as by onsite, remote, or both. Approximately 30% of our jobs are remote, so you’ve got the best options for you!
  • We have not yet implemented this option, but are considering doing so in the future. For the moment, you would need to cancel your subscription, and resubscribe when you wanted to come back.
  • We add new jobs to EchoJobs every day! We scan our sources for the newest jobs, verify them, and post them to EchoJobs within minutes. We add about 2,000-3,000 new jobs for you each day!
  • From starting your job search to getting hired, the entire job search process can take us software engineers anywhere between 3-6 months. However, at EchoJobs, we’re striving to shorten this duration by finding the best, newest jobs for you, so you can do less job searching, and more applying.
  • We’d recommend checking EchoJobs daily, as we add new jobs to the site each day. Additionally, if you got a chance to read our previous email on “what makes EchoJobs different from any other job search tools,” we also recommended that you set a job alert based on your job filters, so if you get emails on those new jobs, you could be checking more than once per day.
  • If you decide to continue with us after the 1-month trial, we definitely recommend this, as we all know it usually takes 3-6 months to find a quality job as a software engineer these days. So to best support you, we just adjusted our membership options at EchoJobs to monthly, 3 months, or 12 months (this option is more for passive job seekers looking a little bit for the future if they want to come back to work or make a job switch potentially. This lets you see what’s out there in case an even better fit job becomes available.)
  • EchoJobs is truly the only job site of its kind. We want to be THE spot for you to find the best job for you, and haven’t encountered any other company doing this. Other job sites are in niches besides software engineering or focus on a small portion of engineering jobs (like a specific coding language). In the words of Morgan, our founder, “I think what makes EchoJobs different is the amount of jobs, frequency that we add new jobs (we add 2,000-3,000 new jobs daily!), and the powerful search engines to find exactly the job you want more easily and efficiently. We can provide you with the most jobs that are vetted by us, we’ll continually find more new jobs for you, and we make it easier for you to apply and get hired.
