About the role

Carrier has openings for passionate and experienced Modeling Engineers to serve as vital members of global modeling team. The team is responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art modeling tools and model-based development workflow that are used by Carrier global engineering centers for Carrier’s air-conditioning and refrigeration component and system design.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sr Eng, Modeling & Controls Engineering, you’ll be responsible for:

• Provide heat transfer and thermodynamics expertise in the development of next generation high efficiency and environmentally friendly HVAC/R systems
• Lead air-conditioning and refrigeration component/system modeling tasks including model requirement development, model test plan creation and model verification & validation.
• Propose new projects with necessary supporting material
• Communicate with Marketing, Product Engineering, and global teams in understanding customer needs from different perspectives.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are MS degree or above. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• 5+ year experience MS degree or PhD in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning or fluid machinery
• Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics
• Modeling experience of 1D thermal fluid systems.
• Engineering experience in design or application of HVAC/R or Power plant equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions.
