Summary:

An Energetic Embedded Test Engineer with Strong experience in Embedded Firmware Testing , Hardware debugging, Automation testing by using Python or Labview or C# or similar scripting languages supporting the continued design, development, and quality delivery of Embedded Hardware & software applications for the HVAC domain products at Carrier

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand the product requirements and use cases in order to deliver high quality software/Firmware on schedule for production releases.

  • Competent in test planning, test execution for functional, Integration and system testing.

  • Must have a strong expertise of testing Embedded Devices , IOT ,Firmware ,MQTT etc.

  • Create and execute test plans and test cases based upon functional and product design specifications and report results as per QA policies and procedures.

  • Help, define, promote, and ensure adherence to Quality assurance processes such as test plan reviews, defect management, risk/complexity analysis and regression test maintenance.

  • Responsible for Not only the quality of the system but also in the way that it is released to customer.

  • Developing and review of Master Test Plan and implement the defined test strategy via automation

  • Review of requirements and design documents from a test automation point of view

  • Quickly grab Domain knowledge and Apply it in project execution .

  • Analyze, interpret, and report test results for both system integration and verification purposes

  • Provide (pro-active) feedback to development and system design for bringing the Quality culture.

  • Define standard methodologies and train & guide engineers to maximize the value of test automation.

  • Very strong with testing techniques (e.g. unit, integration, system, user acceptance, etc.)

  • Flexible to work on manual testing and automation testing based on business priorities.

  • Supports and participates in the engineering processes (SDLC, release management, etc.)

  • Actively participate in the project planning process (e.g. estimates for project plan tasks, resources, completion time, capital requirements, risks, expenses, etc.)

  • Relentless customer focus

  • Quickly gains hands-on knowledge of product.

  • Provide customer perspective and product management vision to the delivery team

  • Understands the various use cases of the product, including other systems integration provides value to the users

  • Debug the Hardware setups in case of failure.

Required Skills:

Qualifications: BE/ME or BTech/MTech – Electronics/Any or BE/BTech in Electronics or ME/MTech in computer Science/Any with 5+ years of experience in below areas:-

  • Strong Experience in Embedded Firmware Testing.

  • Strong Experience in Hardware debugging.

  • Experience in testing IOT devices .

  • Experience with Cloud-based IoT firmware testing

  • Experience in Automation testing by using Labview,Python or similar languages.

  • Experience in testing Communication Protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485,BLE/Wi-Fi

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments.

  • Ability to use logic analyzers, Oscilloscope, emulators, Simulators ,debuggers, and other diagnostic equipment.

  • Knowledge in battery technologies, power profiling, and energy efficiency testing.

  • Experience with CAN tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN, etc.) for data logging, analysis, and debugging.

  • Knowledge on communication protocols like REST(HTTP or CoAP), MQTT Etc.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins,Github and automation frameworks for embedded testing.

  • Experience utilizing Agile Software Process Techniques

  • knowledge of developing automation scripts using AI-powered tools, with a solid understanding of the latest AI technologies and platforms available in the market.
