Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description
Main Tasks
- Development of machines and assemblies for X-ray computed tomography
- Requirement understanding with customers and cross-functional team
- Concept design for customer’s requirement, especially for customerized solution
- Break down requirements into components design specifications
- Be familiar with industrical automation solutions, especially for transmission mechasism, servo motors, linear modules, linear motors, etc
- Battery manufacturing equipments knowledge/experience is a plus
- Generation of 3D models, 2D drawings and E-BOM
- Performing technical calculations and analyzes (e.g. tolerances, strength, cycle time), identifying and evaluating risks and developing proposed solutions to avoid them
- Regular exchange with suppliers and the teams of the other departments
- Assembly and testing of prototypes, Serial launch support
- Capable of troubleshooting and analyzing these issues from a system perspective, and expanding horizontally and vertically
- Relevant experience in a cross-site international team is a plus
Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engeineering or similar
Experience
- Minimal of 5 years experience in mechanical design.
- Experienced handling of CAD systems (preferably Creo, Solidworks)
- Experience in the development and design of complex mechatronic systems, especially with fast moving parts by automated motor control and multi-axis movements.
- Knowledge of transferring prototypes to series production is an advantage
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
