As a Senior Data Analyst in our Business Intelligence team, you will be the driving force behind cargo.one's data-driven decision making. You'll harness our tech stack (BigQuery, dbt, Looker, and Python) to extract powerful insights, shaping our product strategy and business initiatives. Your strong analytical skills will transform raw data into actionable intelligence, directly impacting our growth. You'll be a hands-on champion of data culture, educating teams across the organization and elevating our collective data literacy.

🌍 You can work from (almost) anywhere in Europe and South Africa. We are a remote company, but regularly meet in person, too. As a German company originally, we can support with visa processes only in Germany.

🎬 A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

  • Getting the most of the data we capture and generate, with a particular focus on customer-facing applications.

  • Provide quantitative analysis of current and future products and initiatives through measurable metrics.

  • Support teams across cargo.one by creating reports and dashboards in Looker.

  • Find creative ways to translate product problems into questions that can be answered by data.

  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision making within the product organization and educate the rest of the organization.

  • Work with large datasets and apply data modelling techniques to identify user and product behaviours, trends, and issues.

  • If you are interested: Dip your toes into the management side of things and become a team lead.

 

🙋🏽‍♀️ What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of relevant and practical experience as Sr Data Analyst in a startup or scaleup environment.

  • Drive and curiosity, not just about working with data, but the business questions driving our work.

  • A passion for using data to build compelling stories that drive better and better decisions.

  • An outstanding ability and strong passion to communicate and visually present data and analyses.

  • Wizardry with data and its toolkit: fluency in SQL and a common analytics tool like Looker, Tableau, etc.

  • Prior experience applying statistical analysis like correlation analysis, linear regression to large data sets.

  • Self-starter with supreme structure and time management skills.
