Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops & maintains secure, scalable & reliable Salesforce solutions while applying strong software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle. With minimal supervision, this job collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into well-designed technical solutions, writes clean & maintainable code, participates in peer code reviews, implements automated testing & CI/CD, troubleshoots complex issues & ensures appropriate security, quality & production readiness. This job makes sound technical decisions that effectively leverage Salesforce platform capabilities while balancing business value, performance, technical debt & long-term maintainability, and demonstrates end-to-end ownership from design through production support & continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • SOFTWARE ENGINEERING: Designs and develops high-quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable and efficient codes, that delivers measurable business value.
  • AUTOMATION: Leads the application of internal software deployment platform, methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and tools to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.
  • COLLABORATION: Partners and leads cross functional team of product managers, designers and different engineers to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • TESTING, DEBUGGING and AUTOMATION: Writes and maintains unit tests and integration tests and performs debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software. Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to support regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • DEFECT MANAGEMENT: Identify, document, and track defects, working with the team to ensure timely resolution and verification.
  • AGILE COLLABORATION: Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other QA team members in an Agile/Scrum team to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Suggests options for improving the software development and deployment processes and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • DOCUMENTATION: Builds and maintains comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
  • TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Provides technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.

Qualifications

    • Have a Bachelor's degree with minimum requirement of 9+ years of strong professional software development experience, with demonstrated ability to design, build, test & maintain production applications. 
    • Hands-on Experience in Salesforce software development, using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, Salesforce API and Salesforce administration. 
    • Experience developing automated unit, integration, functional & regression tests, with a focus on improving software quality & reducing manual testing
    • Experience with modern software engineering practices like git-based source control, branching strategies, DevOps, CI/CD and automated quality and security gates and observability
    • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, from technical design & implementation through testing, deployment & production support.

    Good to have:

    • Experience developing mobile applications using React Native, including integration with backend services and APIs.
    • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript & React.
    • Experience building automated test frameworks using tools appropriate for web, mobile & API testing.
    • Good written and oral communication skills along with good product documentation skills.
    • Salesforce Platform Developer certification or other relevant Salesforce certifications
