Job Purpose and Impact

This position is in our Animal Nutrition and Health business in India, where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including Dairy and Poultry as Species.

The PMO Leader, ANH India, is responsible for enabling strategy execution through disciplined portfolio management and project delivery excellence.
This role serves as the owner of the India project portfolio, partnering with business leadership to translate strategic priorities into a balanced portfolio of initiatives that deliver growth, productivity, customer value and financial performance.

The PMO Leader facilitates the connection between business strategy, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), capital planning and project execution, ensuring resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities and that projects deliver intended outcomes.

As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, this role drives portfolio governance, project management capability, organizational change and execution excellence across India, fostering a culture of accountability, value realization and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

Portfolio Strategy & Prioritization
• Partner with India business leadership to translate strategic priorities, Where to Play choices and How to Win initiatives into a prioritized project portfolio.
• Facilitate portfolio planning discussions during the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process, ensuring alignment between business strategy, investment decisions and resource capacity.
• Maintain a balanced portfolio that optimizes growth, productivity, customer experience, operational excellence and financial returns.

Portfolio Governance & Value Realization
• Lead the portfolio governance process, including Portfolio Review Teams (PRTs) and executive decision-making forums.
• Ensure projects are appropriately evaluated, prioritized, approved and monitored through established governance processes.
• Establish transparency on portfolio health, risks, dependencies, resource constraints and value delivery.
• Track and communicate portfolio performance through key metrics, including schedule, spend, benefits realization, resource utilization and strategic contribution.
• Ensure projects deliver committed business outcomes, including EBITDA growth, cost reduction, productivity gains and strategic capabilities.

Project Delivery Excellence
• Provide coaching, guidance and support to project managers and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate project execution discipline through project management standards, methodologies, tools and best practices.
• Proactively identify execution risks, resource constraints and organizational barriers and work with leadership teams to resolve them.
• Support project teams in developing realistic schedules, business cases, implementation plans and value tracking approaches.
• Lead and facilitate Gate Review processes across the portfolio. Coach project teams and sponsors on gate expectations, deliverables and decision criteria.

PMO Capability & Organizational Maturity
• Drive the development and continuous improvement of PMO capabilities, standards and ways of working across India.
• Build project management competency through training, mentoring and coaching programs.
• Promote adoption of portfolio management and project management best practices.

Leadership Partnership & Change Management
• Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, sponsors and functional teams on project and portfolio-related decisions.
• Influence stakeholders across commercial, operations, supply chain, finance, R&D and functional teams to achieve portfolio objectives.
• Drive organizational change management efforts to support successful implementation and adoption of strategic initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum requirement og 6 years of relevant work experience in project, program or portfolio management.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, portfolio management and business planning processes.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
  • PMP, PgMP, PfMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile or equivalent certifications preferred.
