Job Description
The Marketing Project Manager supports the execution of time-sensitive member communications for health plans, with a primary focus on developing market-specific versions of approved communications and managing materials through required internal and external review and approval processes.
This role works from established parent templates, model materials, previous versions, and market-specific requirements to create accurate communication materials for individual health plan markets. The Project Manager coordinates each communication through review, feedback, approval, and final handoff, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working within established processes, and able to independently manage a high volume of concurrent communication projects in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Market-Specific Versioning: Create market-specific communication documents from approved parent templates, model materials, or previous versions based on defined state, market, and business requirements
- Content Updates & Quality Review: Incorporate requested content changes and perform detailed proofreading and editorial quality checks for accuracy, consistency, spelling, grammar, formatting, and adherence to applicable writing and brand standards
- Internal Review Management: Prepare and submit materials through required internal MMRP review processes, track feedback and approvals, incorporate requested revisions, and ensure comments are resolved
- External Review Management: Coordinate submissions to Alliance partners, state regulators, or other external reviewers as required, track review status, incorporate feedback, and manage materials through final approval
- Workflow & Schedule Management: Build and maintain workflow tasks, due dates, review cycles, and project schedules. Proactively monitor deadlines and follow up with reviewers and stakeholders to keep work progressing
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned communications, coordinating with health plan business owners, subject matter experts, reviewers, compliance partners, and production teams to resolve questions and obtain required decisions
- Final Document Coordination: Ensure approved documents are complete and appropriately prepared for downstream activities including translation, Section 508 tagging, configuration, web publishing, and production
- Issue Management: Identify missing information, conflicting requirements, approval delays, or other issues that could impact delivery and proactively coordinate resolution or escalation
- Document & Version Control: Maintain accurate documentation, naming conventions, version history, approvals, and final files across multiple markets and communication projects
