Software Manager

Cardo Systems, a global leader in consumer electronics for motorcycle riders, skiers, and off-road drivers, is looking for a highly skilled Software Manager to lead a group of 10 people, reporting directly to the VP of R&D. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage a software development team, an automation team, and an architect.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Report progress, challenges, and solutions directly to the VP of R&D, project and product managers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of product specifications and maintain the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded software development and a hands-on approach to leadership, with additional experience in wireless communication being a significant advantage.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong technical and programming skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
