Associate Software QA Engineer

Responsibilities for this position include developing and executing different types of manual and automated tests, tracking, releasing, and supporting features that enable healthcare users to manage their inventory efficiently. You should have the ability to work directly with the business to determine feature requirements and will be considered the subject matter expert on assigned features. The ideal candidate must have a mix of technical strength and business acumen. Candidate must be a strong self-starter and should enjoy collaborating with other team members.

Qualifications:

• Degree in fields related to Information Technology (ex: Computer Science, Management Information System, Business Computing, etc...)
• 0 to 1 year of experience in a similar position or related field
• Strong analytical thinking
• Strong desire to solve problems
• Strong desire to learn and improve constantly
• Knowledge of SQL
• Good command of the English Language

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience in writing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Experience with different operating systems, databases, application servers, and web servers.
• Knowledge of any programming language
• Experience in Linux
• Experience in Git
• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum development process
• Knowledge of Test Management Tools (TestRail, Bugzilla, Zephyr etc...)
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.

What is expected of you and others in this position?

• Create, modify, and execute test plans and test cases
• Work with the development team during development and testing phases to ensure quality and timely delivery is achieved.
• Assess the performance and quality of WaveMark software products against specified criteria and standards
• Identify, analyze, and document all defects, programming errors (software bugs and enhancements) and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.  
• Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies.  
• Represents the organization on project teams and contributes to the quality and achievement of organizational goals and objectives. 
• Provides documentation of work and results; reviews projects against goals and provides status reports.
• Escalate quality concerns to the direct supervisor and concerned parties
