QA Team Lead

Role Description

Capitolis is looking for a Team Lead to join our global QA team. Our QA team, which is based in New York and Tel Aviv, is responsible for all aspects of quality assurance testing of our SaaS products, driving continuous improvement in product quality and time-to-market. As part of an experienced and motivated team, the QA Team Lead will contribute to delivering solutions to complex problems, leveraging innovative and scalable software development practices to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.

This role demands a balance of technical expertise and leadership, requiring hands-on involvement 60% of the time. The QA Team Lead will collaborate closely with stakeholders to implement and maintain QA best practices, drive automation efforts, and ensure the successful execution of projects within timelines and technical specifications. The position also involves fostering the growth and development of team members, providing mentorship, and sharing technical knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Leadership:

• Embed QA practices throughout the development lifecycle to ensure high product quality and efficient delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Hands-On QA Activities:

• Perform hands-on testing (manual and automated) to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cross-functional teams.
• Work in AWS environment. Utilize JIRA, Jenkins, SQL Queries, QA Automation tools

Development and Mentorship:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of QA tester, fostering professional growth and technical expertise.
• Motivate the team, establish clear goals, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Collaboration with other interfaces:

• Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure QA alignment with business goals.
• Communicate QA progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
• Attending daily meeting, introduction meeting etc.

Project Management:

• Oversee the QA aspects of projects, ensuring delivery within defined timelines and compliance with technical requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in QA roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality software in agile environments.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, performance, regression, and security testing.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and QA integration.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript (Benefit)
• Ability to inspire and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
