About the role: 

Capital One U is looking for an exceptional teammate to support project delivery and team engagement & enablement initiatives within our ~300 person organization.

This associate will join our Learning Infrastructure and Design team, which is a cross-functional team that supports Capital One U’s operations, project delivery, technology, communications, creative design, and team engagement. This associate will assist our team’s Horizontal Delivery Lead in strategic planning and delivery of these projects to drive impact to the Learning Infrastructure & Design team and the Capital One U organization as a whole.

The associate will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills leading projects in a well-managed way. They will also have an opportunity to demonstrate and build strong planning, organization, and communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail. We are looking for team players who are solution-oriented and comfortable juggling multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities include: 

• Help coordinate activities for the Learning Infrastructure & Design team including AAS analysis, organizational changes, team engagement, and monthly team meetings

• Deliver recognition programs for the Capital One U organization

• Play a lead role in delivering new initiatives to improve our organization’s operating model (i.e. an inventory of prioritized projects, an intake model for managing new project requests within Capital One U, helping to design our technology ecosystem roadmap, etc.)

• Build tracking materials and documentation to ensure transparency and well-managed delivery of Capital One U’s annual OKRs

• Partner with Horizontal Delivery Lead in managing several partner relationships across HR, including Risk Management 

• Support event logistics and planning for organization-wide events such as Town Halls and year-end celebrations

• Execute on best practices around stakeholder engagement to ensure key groups within our organization (i.e. Capital One U leadership team, other Horizontal Delivery Leads) remain informed on project strategy and delivery

• Help create materials for key horizontal functions including Monthly Business Review (MBR) deck ware and communications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

• At least 2 years of project or process management experience OR at least 2 years of experience in Human Resources

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience

• At least 2 years of experience in Learning & Development OR Chief of Staff teams

• Proven problem solving, delivery, and decision-making skills

• Ability to embrace new systems and process enhancements

• High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all stakeholder contacts
