At DataLabs, Capital One India, we solve fundamental business problems at scale using  advanced analytics, data science and machine learning. We specialize in deriving valuable insights about various aspects of the business - including product and process design, consumer behavior, regulatory and credit risk, and much more - from large volumes of data to build cutting edge patentable products at an industrial scale.

DataLabs is looking for a Principal Associate to spearhead our foray into autonomous and intelligent data products that solve the full gamut of business and analytical needs. This role involves working with Product Management, Architects and Project Engineering leadership to develop and deploy robust, scalable, secure and well-managed state-of-the-art solutions to achieve the business goals.

What You’ll Do:
⦁ Play the role as a subject matter expert and provide leadership in one or more areas of the project with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that drive the business goals of the company.
⦁ Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code.
⦁ Own delivery of end to end software development in design, development, test, release and maintenance.
⦁ Collaborate with Architects and contribute in design solutioning of products.
⦁ Ensure adherence to architecture standards, risk management and security standards.
⦁ Participate in the design discussions and break down requirements into HLD and LLD as applicable solutions on project priorities and requirements.
⦁ Develop well managed applications implementing best coding practices,

testable, efficient code with reusability.
⦁ Provide support/guidance to the team members on the technical queries.
⦁ Work with development teams and product managers in prioritizing the requirements and manage development teams to deliver as per committed timelines.
⦁ Define the stories complexities and effort estimations for every sprint.
⦁ Ideate on improving the applications using implementation of cutting-edge 
technologies.
⦁ Strictly follow scrum practices and adhere to Definition of Done principles defined in the product teams.

Basic Qualifications:
⦁ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
⦁ At least 6+ years of experience in software engineering 
⦁ At least 3 years experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
⦁ Strong problem-solving skills.
⦁ Excellent communication and teamwork with experience in collaborating with onshore team/stakeholders.
⦁ Experience in building scalable, real time applications using Microservices Architecture
⦁ Experience in deployment process, building compliance adhered softwares.
⦁ Experience in troubleshooting, debugging applications and proactive participation in testing and bug fixes.
⦁ Ability to build scalable applications working on a continuous delivery

environment, writing production ready code.

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ Master's Degree
⦁ Knowledge of backend technologies like Java(Preferred), Springboot ,

Microservices, JSON, Python(Good to have).
⦁ Knowledge of frontend technologies like Javascript, Node.js, Angular.js.
⦁ Knowledge of database technologies like Postgres(Preferred), Mysql, PostGres, Sql server.
⦁ No sql Database knowledge, Elastic search(Good to have).
⦁ Knowledge on CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
⦁ Knowledge on Event streaming tools like Kafka platform. 
⦁ Knowledge of Source Code Management systems Git, github.
⦁ Knowledge in cloud based platforms build and deployments (AWS preferred, 
GCP,Azure).
⦁ AWS Certification.
