ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our growing team in Romania. The role involves both manual and automated testing of web and native applications, focusing on functional and regression testing. You will work in an Agile environment, ensuring software quality through meticulous test planning, execution, and defect management.

The ideal candidate is equally passionate about manual and automated testing and adaptable to varying testing focuses (e.g., manual-only phases or regression testing). You will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions that enhance user experience and product quality. Collaborating with a dynamic team of developers, testers, and business stakeholders, you’ll leverage your expertise to design, execute, and optimize test strategies across the software lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, write, execute, and refactor manual and automated test cases.
• Perform functional and regression testing (partially automated using Java, Cucumber, Selenium, Spring, and Jenkins).
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts with Java, Selenium, and Cucumber.
• Conduct root cause analysis, report bugs, and track defect resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and participate in feature demonstrations.
• Investigate logs for issue troubleshooting and resolution.
• Continuously identify tools and processes to enhance test automation and coverage.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, cases, and results.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of experience in QA, with a focus on manual and automation testing.
• Strong experience with:
  • Java (OOP concepts)
  • Cucumber and Selenium for automated testing
  • Web application testing and logs investigation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven) and Agile methodologies.
• Proactive mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with:
  • Spring Framework, Maven, Linux
  • Appium or similar tools for mobile testing.
  • Cloud platforms like Azure.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
