What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

We are looking for several Platform Product Managers to drive the evolution of our infra and platforms. Your mission is to streamline the development process to reduce unnecessary friction and increase efficiency. You will lead the overall product vision and strategy for a set of foundational capabilities built by several teams within the Infra Supergroup. Your contributions will directly improve developer productivity, accelerating how we innovate and empower the world to design.

At the moment, these roles will be focused on:

• Defining the vision and roadmap for capabilities that streamline the development process
• Driving Canva's adoption of various Infra capabilities to maximise its leverage and return on investment
• Maintain regular, transparent communications between application engineers and the Infra teams
• Distill technically complex concepts to a broader audience to influence strategy: leaders, other product managers, and the rest of Canva

You're probably a match if

• You'll have a deep passion for solving engineers' problems, ultimately accelerating Canva's hyper-ambitious goals. You're someone who can map the gains that we can make in improving our engineering experience to overall improvements to our end-user experience
• You're deeply passionate about understanding and improving the developer experience to accelerate Canva's engineers safely
• You thrive in environments where you're enabling others to do great things by doing great things yourself
• You're excited by the challenge of driving cultural transformation while leading through influence
• You're a strong communicator - you can tailor how you speak about developer efficiency and high-performance engineering teams when working across different specialties and parts of the business to drive outcomes
• You're great at balancing long-term vision and strategy with regularly delivering impactful outcomes that bring us closer to that vision
• You’re great with data (both qualitative and quantitative) and love turning insights into action
• You're comfortable moving forward even if we don't have all the information available to us, balancing first-principles reasoning with the data that we do have at hand
• You have experience working in a high-growth technology company, with experience with developer tools a huge plus
• You have experience driving cultural change and internal adoption of tools, patterns, and practices

The Infra Supergroup at Canva aim to make complex technology simple for Canvanauts by building foundational platforms that will propel Canva’s growth. The scope is broad: every week, thousands of developers interact with the tools, utilities, and platforms that Infra provides. Infra plays a direct role in improving developer productivity across the entire software lifecycle. More than just a set of tools, Infra aims to improve developer happiness and unlock innovations that empower Canva teams to delight users and enter new markets.
