This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep Distribution Centre experience, structured project execution, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-project environment.

  • Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and tracking performance against plan

  • Collaborate with Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into robust, scalable automation solutions

  • Proactively identify delivery risks and lead mitigation and contingency planning

  • Ensure solutions align with safety, maintainability, operational readiness, and long-term asset lifecycle considerations

  • Prepare and deliver clear, executive-level updates and technical presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Foster strong cross-functional communication and collaboration across Supply Chain, IT, Facilities, and external partners

What you bring:

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or equivalent experience in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline

  • Minimum 5+ years managing engineering teams and/or complex automation projects in a distribution or industrial environment

  • PMP designation or equivalent project management accreditation strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of automation system lifecycle from concept through design, build, integration, commissioning, and handover

  • Experience working in matrix organizations with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Proven ability to develop cost‑benefit analyses, business cases, and executive-level presentations

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and change in fast‑paced transformation environments

  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining delivery quality and team engagement

Leadership Attributes

  • Structured, outcome-focused delivery mindset

  • Strong people leader with a coaching and development orientation

  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed technical levels

  • Proactive, accountable, and decisive in addressing risks and issues

  • Collaborative leader who builds trust across functions and partners
