Location: Beloit, Wisconsin

Base Rate: $22.50/hour

Shift: 3rd Shift

Hours: Generally starts between 10:45 PM and 7:00 AM, with overtime as needed based on business needs. Start times and hours may vary due to attendance coverage, production schedules, and holiday operations. Strong attendance and punctuality are required.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and consistency of our products. You will support our quality and food safety programs by performing routine laboratory testing, monitoring production processes, verifying compliance with specifications, and partnering with production teams to maintain the highest standards of product excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

Monitor production processes and products using sensory evaluation, weight control, and analytical testing methods to ensure compliance with established specifications, including color, moisture, weight, free fatty acids (FFA), size, and other quality parameters.

Evaluate finished products for moisture, ingredient content, breakage, color, package fill, raw and finished weights, seal integrity, code date legibility, and overall product quality.

Perform and accurately document quality testing and inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and products produced by external suppliers.

Utilize laboratory and testing equipment to verify product quality and compliance.

Communicate quality concerns, out-of-specification results, and product standards to Production and QA leadership and production team members.

Conduct pre-operational inspections of processing, packaging, and production equipment following product changeovers and before scheduled production start-ups.

Perform sanitation verifications to confirm equipment cleanliness and allergen control requirements are met.

Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure laboratory supplies are properly stored.

Follow all safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and chemical handling procedures.

Adhere to safe lifting practices and other workplace safety requirements.

Support additional quality assurance and operational activities as assigned.

Work overtime, weekends, and off-shift coverage as required.

Cross-functional sanitation, processing, packaging, and operations teams

External suppliers and vendors, as applicable

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to accurately perform testing, collect data, and maintain quality documentation.

Ability to work independently while following established procedures and standards.

Ability to safely handle chemicals and follow laboratory safety procedures.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and perform other physical activities required in a manufacturing environment.

Availability to work weekends, overtime, and off-shift coverage as needed.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing, production, or quality assurance.

Experience using quality assessment tools and testing methods, including moisture testing, FFA testing, salt testing, or similar analytical techniques.

Experience conducting product inspections, sanitation verifications, and pre-operational audits.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across business functions.

Familiarity with food safety, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel may be required.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
