About the role:

Come join us in our mission to create the most personalized and authentic fan connections on earth. This data-driven position will collaborate closely with Cameo's cross-functional product, marketing, and business teams to uncover critical insights and drive data-informed decision making across the organization.

In this role, you'll be responsible for helping Cameo's B2B and marketing squads become as data-driven as our product team is today. You'll partner with stakeholders to define success metrics, design and evaluate A/B tests, and implement analytical infrastructure to support the needs of the business.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You'll apply a hypothesis-based approach and leverage strong business intuition in your day-to-day work. Eagerness to work cross-functionally, curiosity to learn, and patience to tackle difficult problems are a must.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with the marketing team to measure the ROI and impact of Cameo's marketing initiatives. Help define key metrics and KPIs, and socialize them across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the B2B product team to understand their data needs. Design, construct the core dashboards and visualizations to monitor product health and inform decision-making.
  • Proactively explore multi-source data to uncover issues or opportunities that can improve the business and user impact of Cameo's search, ranking, and pricing algorithms. Partner with product to design experiments and analyze results.
  • Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. Identify opportunities to drive growth through iterative experimentation.
  • Communicate insights to stakeholders, distilling complex analysis into actionable learnings. Be a driving influencer on the use and application of data-driven insights.
  • Advocate for analytics by educating and promoting data-driven decision making throughout the company.

What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a product analytics or data science role
  • Strong experience designing and assessing the impact of A/B experiments
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and leveraging analytical tools like Amplitude, Tableau, Looker
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and ability to translate data into insights
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Ability to present findings to stakeholders
  • 'What's right for the business' mindset and 'hypothesis first' approach to problem-solving
  • Passion for building products that delight customers and drive their success
  • Experience working in a 2-sided marketplace or e-commerce environment is a plus
  • Background in designing and executing data-driven experiments, from ETL to model deployment with dbt. 
  • Hands-on experience with data wrangling using SQL (DDL, T-SQL) and Python (Pandas) as well as visualization techniques i.e. Seaborn, Matplotlib
