Our team is growing and we're looking for an Associate Sales Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in our Early Career development program and grow into a Network Solutions Sales Engineer in our Iowa territory.

We are looking for a dynamic, curious, motivated, self-starting Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This role will be a member of a broader regional sales team assisting with existing customers as well as joining discovery calls to qualify new opportunities. This role requires the ability to interact with and influence senior technical staff and management within Calix’s Broadband Service Provider (BSP) customers. This role also involves the demonstration of product capabilities in the focus area and assistance with lab and field trials. The candidate is expected to learn and demonstrate fast progress in technical, sales, and interpersonal skills.

  • We are investing in your future for a fulfilling career at Calix.
  • Attend and master the Early Career Program through a rotation of classroom (virtual and in person) and various field assignments over a 6-12 month (approximate) period.
  • The expertise path for this position will be primarily Wireless (Wi-Fi) networking (indoor and outdoor design) and Cloud supporting the subscribers’ needs and experience.
  • Upon successful completion of the program, you will transition into a field position supporting our sales initiatives and customers.

Upon Early Career Program completion:

  • Build trusted relationships with customers supporting our sales efforts.
  • Work with customers to design and architect platform solutions to meet their technical and business needs.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our product portfolio to apply the best solutions.
  • Provide leadership, influence decisions, and be skilled at simplifying Calix technology concepts.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, handle objections, and assist in closing the sale.
  • Research and stay up to date on the most recent industry standards and trends.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE/BSCS or equivalent technically oriented bachelor’s degree desired.
  • Travel expectations: Up to 60% domestic travel on an as needed basis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking in public forums.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

Location:

  • This is a remote-based position located in Iowa (Des Moines preferred).

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

96,300.00 - 144,300.00 USD Annual
