The Cadence Cloud Solutions team works closely with the Cadence Sales and Worldwide Field Organization (WFO) engineers to provide value-added solutions to our customers during their silicon design development. Our goal is to serve as a reliable technology partner to our customers so that they can focus on what they do best – designing silicon products that are changing the world.

As a member of the Cadence Cloud Solutions team, you will be responsible for the on-boarding and support of customers that use the services in our Cadence Managed Cloud portfolio.  You will use your skills and knowledge of Linux, HPC on public cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and shell and configuration management scripting to assist with the deployment, troubleshooting and maintenance of secure cloud environments. You will leverage automation to solve routine support issues, all while delivering world-class customer support.

Role: Cloud Solutions Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Linux and HPC workloads in a public cloud environment, preferably in EDA, or semiconductor industry, or for a systems design company

  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer

  • Experience in deploying AWS environments using CloudFormation/Python/Ansible including VPCs, VPNs, subnets, security groups/NACLs, load balancers, auto-scaling groups, EC2, ECS, S3, Route53, CloudWatch resources

  • Must have strong working knowledge of Linux

Description:

  • Apply expertise in Terraform & Ansible scripting to automate, test, and maintain infrastructure deployments to ensure the successful repeatability of similar environments.

  • Maintain operational runbooks needed for on-going operations and support of our cloud solutions

  • Serve as a technology SME to the Sales and Marketing teams when they have technical questions about our solutions.

  • Serve as a resource for technical discussions with our cloud vendors, and participate in the evaluation of new cloud service offerings and technologies that have the potential to improve the experience for cloud users.

  • Engage with Product and Application Engineering teams to understand customer use cases, provide quick access to compute resources in support of beta and eval customer engagements, and capture customer experience feedback

Technical Skills:

  • Hands on experience using Terraform, & Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management

  • Experience in building or supporting hybrid cloud environments using services such as Amazon VPC, EC2, FSx, EKS, S3, etc.

  • Awareness of security best practices and standards are desired.

  • Preferred – Experience working with EDA software tools

  • Preferred - Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes

Qualification

Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
