As a member of CACI’s trajectory team in Santa Maria, CA, you will assist with launch vehicle trajectory simulations & analyses and launch day operations performed in support of critical U.S. spacecraft missions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze computer simulations for launch vehicle trajectories.
- Assist senior engineers with trajectory verification and validation analyses.
- Generate trajectory simulations for real-time flight displays on launch day.
Qualifications:
Required:
- B.S., or higher, in Aerospace Engineering.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Course work in Astronautics (orbital mechanics, spacecraft attitude dynamics, etc.).
- Ability to analyze flight mechanics processes using engineering principles.
- Proficiency with MATLAB scripting, plotting and data processing.
Desired:
- Experience developing, troubleshooting, analyzing flight vehicle simulations.
- Programming and scripting skills: Perl, Python, FORTRAN, C++.
- Experience and/or course work in the following areas:
- Optimization techniques
- Probability analysis
