The Opportunity:
ARKA Group is seeking Electromechanical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 who are passionate about working closely with our team to solve difficult mission-critical challenges. This position is fully on‑site.
Responsibilities:
You'll be part of the Mechanical Engineering department and support design and analysis of hardware for electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of college or university and currently enrolled in the study of Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook)
- CAD Experience (preferred PTC Creo)
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Desired:
- GD&T and applications of those principles on drawings
- Design and analysis experience
- Mechanical design and knowledge of fabrication methods and processes
